Interference Coordination and Precoding Design in Heterogeneous Networks with Massive MIMO

  • In Massive MIMO heterogeneous network scene, a new precoding scheme is proposed, which is aimed at suppressing inter user interference and cross layer interference. The macro-BS was equipped with Massive MIMO, and in order to reduce the complexity and feedback, two-tier precoding was used, where the outer precoder can suppress the cross layer interference, and inner precoder can suppress the inter user interference. The pico-users would choose the interference suppression method according to the strength of interference: when it’s strong, the pico-users would implement proactive interference cancelation, and when it’s weak, the pico-users would treat the interference as noise. In addition, the explicit solution of the pico-BS’s precoder is derived. Simulation results show that, this scheme can bring relatively high throughput. What’s more, this scheme can also reduce the amount of computation and raise the processing efficiency because of the introduction of two-tier precoding and explicit solution.
