Performance analysis of multiple wideband sources localization for arbitrary array

  • Aimed at the feature of wideband signals which were non-stationary and the number of source is known for the common wideband DOA(Direction-of-Arrival)estimation algorithm, a new DOA estimation algorithm of non-stationary signals for spatial arbitrary array was proposed. Firstly, we turn the signal into frequency domain by short-time Fourier transform(STFT), and then construct array data model in frequency domain . finally, by using joint diagonalization feature of the short-time power spectrum matrix to realize wideband signal DOA estimation. In this paper, the proposed algorithm are analyzed in theory, and simulated in the common format (such as linear array,cross array) and analyzed the performance of the algorithm, the results show that this algorithm can estimate the DOA in high resolution, and the estimate error is small. Compared with the existing MUSIC spectrum estimation method, the proposed method has no need for the source number, which means more practical.
