System Identification Algorithm of EM Inversion for Rebar-reinforced Zone in Runways

  • The Electromagnetic (EM) property inversion of rebar-reinforced zone in runways is studied in this paper. The strong rebar echo will severely affect the EM inversion of the media layer in runways. So the rebar suppression technique based on the Hyp-curvelet is introduced to the EM inversion algorithm. Firstly, the Hyp-curvelet is used to suppress the rebar echoes, and then EM properties are estimated based on the improved system identification, in which the effect of the frequency components within the band width on the imaginary part of the permittivity is considered. Therefore the conductivity and permittivity of the media layer can be intensively obtained. The simulation results demonstrate the validity of the method proposed in this paper.
