Effect of the jammer’s spatial location on rebound jamming to SAR

  • In rebound jamming circumstance, a significant impact to the jamming signals caused by the change of the location of the jammer is the change of the incident angle and the azimuth angle of the jamming signals. According to the scattering theory of electromagnetic wave, the scattering coefficient of the electromagnetic wave is related to its incident angle and azimuth angle. Based on the scattering theory, the relationship between the spatial location of the jammer and the power of the jamming signal received by the SAR is studied in the paper. The signal to jamming ratio (SJR) is used as the reference in estimating the jamming effectiveness. Then by analyzing the relationship between the incident/azimuth angle and the scattering coefficient of the jamming signal, the change of the SJR of the SAR system responding to the change of the jamming signal’s incident angle is studied. And suitable incident/azimuth angles for the jamming signal in which the jammer could make better interference effectiveness were pointed out.
