HRRP cost function optimization method for ballistic missile feature parameter extraction

  • Abstract: Precession angle and precession period are important parameters for identifying the true warhead. In order to improve the accuracy of extracting the precession parameters, a new method was proposed to extract the parameters of precession of ballistic missile based on HRRP. Considering the influence of high speed translation on the HRRP, a midcourse warhead precession model is established. FFT transform is performed on the maximum cross correlation function of one dimensional range image sequence, and the frequency offset correction is carried out the result of the transformation, in ordered to get the accurate procession period. At the same time, the radial length of the target is extracted based on the HRRP. A method for optimization of the cost function of radial length is presented. The precession angle, precession period, cone height, azimuth angle and pitching angle are extracted through it. Compared with the presented papers, the accuracy of precession parameters is improved.
