Abstract:
Subarray partitioning at the transmitter end of hybrid phased-MIMO radar will lead to loss of freedom. To solve this problem, a design method of L-shaped array based on nested array structure is proposed. Firstly, the line hybrid phased-MIMO radar at the transmit end is placed longitudinally, and then the receive array is designed as a horizontally arranged nested array structure. Finally, the two-dimensional hybrid phased-MIMO radar is realized by constructing difference coarray in virtual array and using L-shaped linear array structure. By forming a virtual array element number extension, the degree of freedom is increased while preserving the advantages of the hybrid phased-MIMO radar. And the closed expression of the array manifold under this structure is given. Simulation results shows that compared with the traditional hybrid phased-MIMO radar, this method can improve the degree of freedom and direction-of-arrival estimation accuracy.
