Performance Evaluation Index of Radar Signal Sorting Based on Pulse Train

  • ‍ ‍Aiming at the problem that the performance evaluation index of radar signal sorting based on the pulse is not comprehensive and the tactical performance was not enough, this paper put forward the performance evaluation index based on the pulse train to evaluate the sorting performance. Analyzing the sorting process from the perspective of the electronic reconnaissance, this paper extracted the more tactical evaluation index based on the de-interleaving result. With a pulse train as a processing unit, the proposed indexes focused on the missed detection of radiation source and false alarm of pulse train when evaluating sorting performance. In addition, the situation that sub-harmonics appear in the sorting results and the time required in sorting process were investigated, and the Pulse Repetition Interval (PRI) estimation and pulse train matching degree were also investigated from the perspective of electronic information quality. The effects of PRI jitter and pulse missing on the evaluation indexes were studied in simulation experiments. The simulation results show that the experimental data of the evaluation indexes were mutually verified with the influence mechanism of PRI jitter and pulse loss rate on the sorting process. The rationality of the proposed indexes is fully reflected. With the help of the proposed evaluation indexes, researchers can accurately analyze the sorting process. The validity and comprehensiveness of the proposed indexes are fully verified.
