Area Calculation of The Scattered Fake Clutter Resolution Cell And Its Simulation Application

  • Scattered fake clutter jamming against space-time adaptive processing (STAP) overcame dimensional unicity of traditional jamming methods. In the existing literature, fake clutter simulated based on Jamming-to-Noise Ratio (JNR) cannot accurately reflect the effect of fake clutter jamming because it fails to reflect the real distribution of jamming power. To evaluate the effect of fake clutter jamming more accurately, a method for calculating the area of fake clutter resolution cell is proposed. The analytic expression of the fake clutter ground equidistant ring is derived using coordinate transformation. The integral expressions of the area of resolution cells are given. According to the area of the resolution cells, the scattering power of each fake clutter patch can be calculated, and the fake clutter can be simulated by combining the space-time characteristics of the scattered jamming. The power distribution, spectrum, and jamming effect of the fake clutter generated by the two methods are compared through simulation experiments. The simulation results show that the fake clutter generated based on the area of the resolution cell is more practical and can evaluate the fake clutter effect more accurately.
