The Fault Detection of CAT II/III GBAS Reference Stations Using Hilbert-Huang Transform

  • Real-time detection of integrity information is critical to ensure trouble-free operation of the Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) reference station. Among them, the multiple references consistency check (MRCC) B-value is one of the important parameters of GBAS ground integrity detection, but MRCC can not analyze the type and extent of signal anomaly. In this paper, the fault models of the GBAS system are discussed, and an integrity information anomaly detection method based on Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is proposed. This method uses empirical mode decomposition (EMD) fault signals to detect GBAS reference stations faults by analyzing the decomposed signal components. The detection error range of this method is within 10%, which provides more timely and accurate data support for GBAS ground reference station integrity detection.
