Frequency Domain Iterative Decision Feedback Equalization Based on Linearization Factor Update

  • Iterative Block Decision Feedback Equalization (IBDFE) is an effective nonlinear equalization algorithm in single-carrier frequency domain equalization, However the computational complexity of the algorithm increases with the number of iterations. In this paper, a frequency domain iterative decision feedback equalization algorithm based on linear factor updating is proposed for the deficiency of traditional IBDFE algorithm. The linear factor update is used to simplify the equalizer complexity, and the correction factor is introduced to calculate the feedforward and feedback filter coefficients to avoid performance loss. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is lower than that of the traditional IBDFE algorithm and has a performance gain of 0.12 dB when the bit error rate is 10-5. Compared with the existing Low-Complexity algorithm (LC-IBDFE), it has 0.1 dB performance gain.
