High Efficiency Waveguide Invariant Passive Ranging Technology Assisted by Virtual Source Method

  • According to the measurement requirements of underwater acoustic communication network node topology structure,a high precision passive ranging algorithm based on waveguide invariant is studied in this paper. To solve the problem that waveguide invariant method requires a large amount of computation, an efficient nodetonode distance measurement algorithm assisted by virtual source method is proposed.Considering that sound velocity in seawater is affected by temperature, salinity, depth and other factors, sound velocity compensation method is adopted to obtain more appropriate sound velocity, so as to improve the accuracy of ranging. Simulation results show that the error of virtual source method combined with sound velocity compensation decreases obviously. On the basis of reducing the range with the virtual source method of sound velocity compensation, the computation of the waveguide invariant accurate ranging is obviously reduced, and the precision of the ranging result is also improved. It is concluded that the waveguide invariant passive ranging technology based on the virtual source method with sound velocity compensation can achieve accurate ranging while reducing the computation.
