Abstract
The wide application of wireless sensors and mobile electronic devices promotes the research of wireless power transmission(WPT), while the development of Internet of Things(IoT) and the increasing of wireless devices in recent years broaden the application of WPT. As an effective method of WPT, microwave power transmission(MPT) has the advantage that it can transmit power in a large distance. With the use of distributed coordinated multi-points(CoMP), which is widely used in wireless communications, power can be transmitted in shadows and the transmission efficiency is increased. However, the current research of CoMPMPT achieves coordination by measuring phases of multi-points with expensive hardware, which is hard to increase efficiency by increasing number of points because of the cost. To solve this problem, a new method based on single bit feedback algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm achieves coordination without complex multiplication but only amplitude feedback, so it reduces the cost of hardware obviously with little reducing of power transmission efficiency. Computer simulation results show that the transmission efficiency would achieve near 5% when 64 omnidirectional transmitters are equipped. Experimental results show that the power gain is 15.6 dB if seven coordinated transmitters are used. The proposed low-cost scheme makes it possible to equip large number of transmitters, which leads to the increasing of transmission efficiency.
