Detection and Frequency Estimation of Distributed Unique Word TDMA Signal

  • For a class of new type of distributed unique word structure TDMA signals, this paper proposes a burst detection and frequency estimation algorithm based on the unique word aided under this new structure, the algorithm mainly eliminates the influence of frequency offset on the detection performance by means of the time delay conjugate multiplication, and the frequency estimation has low complexity. At the same time, taking into account the actual signal conditions, this paper puts forward specific application suggestions on the unique code structure of the mainstream 2 symbols interval insertion, and improves the detection performance and the frequency estimation precision under the specific application background. This paper focuses on the influence of signal to noise ratio, frequency offset, unique word length and distribution structure on the performance of the algorithm, and carries out simulation experiments under different conditions. Simulation results show that the algorithm can achieve high-precision burst detection and frequency coarse estimation correction for large frequency offset TDMA signals.
