Optimal frequency hopping rate for anti-follower jamming with detection error

  • The follower jamming poses a severe threat to frequency-hopping communication. Firstly, The Stackelberg game model of communication countermeasure with detection error was proposed. There are one leader and one follower in this model, and the communicator who acts as the leader communicates first with a certain frequency-hopping speed, whereas the smart follower jammer acting as the follower detects and jams the communicator subsequently. Secondly, the optimal frequency-hopping speed and the optimal policy of detection time and jamming time were derived. It was proved that, the optimal jamming strategy is blind jamming, and the optimal anti-jamming strategy is slow frequency hopping, when signal to noise rate below certain gate. Finally, the theory results are validated by the simulation results, and the proposed algorithm was compared with the blind frequency-hopping and the frequency-hopping with changing speed. The simulation results illustrate that the anti-follower jamming performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to the existent algorithms.
