Opportunistic Full-Duplex/Two-Way Relaying Protocol

  • Traditional two-way relaying protocol (TWR) performed poor when the channel gains and/or date rate requirements are asymmetric. This paper proposed an opportunistic full-duplex/two-way relaying protocol to improve the outage performance of wireless relaying system. The opportunistic protocol was modeled as a transmission time allocation problem to optimize the system outage probability. The optimal transmission time and power allocation schemes were obtained analytically. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed opportunistic protocol achieves better system outage probability when compared with the traditional TWR and full-duplex relaying (FDR) protocols.
