Target Rapid Location For Bistatic MIMO Radar

  • A target location method which based on modified multistage wiener filtering (MSWF) can effectively reduce the computational complexity in bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. The method can lead to the expansion of the signal subspace, reduce the algorithm performance. So a new target rapid location method is proposed. Firstly, the series of MSWF is determined by using autocorrelation modulus values which is used to get the expanding subspace. Secondly the initial direction of departure (DOD) and direction of arrival (DOA) can be estimated combining with the subspace kind algorithms such as ESPRIT. Last the real target angle can be obtained from the initial angle by criteria and the automatic pairing of target angle is achieved. Because this algorithm has make full use of the expanding subspace without matrix eigenvalue decomposition, it has higher angle estimation precision and lower computational complexity.
