Target Rapid Location of coherent target For Bistatic MIMO Radar

  • A target rapid location method based on Toeplitz matrix is proposed for the instant problem among target location in bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. The received signal is often coherent in bistatic MIMO radar, so the angle estimation algorithm can’t be applied directly. Firstly, the recived data is used to get a set of Toeplitz submatrices which is utilized for constructing a covariance matrix for the sake of eliminating the influence of coherence. The rank of this matrix is equal to the number of targets. Then the single subspace can be got through forward recursion of the multistage wiener filtering (MSWF), not through the matrix eigenvalue decomposition. The direction of departure (DOD) and direction of arrival (DOA) of coherent singles can be estimated combined with ESPRIT. The algorihm eliminates the influence of coherence by constructing toeplitz matrix, only changes the matrix structure and reduces the computational complexity. This method whose computational complexity is low increases the target distinguish and the ability of estimation of coherent targets.
