Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the outage probability of decode-and-forward based full-duplex relaying with non-negligible residual self-interference (RSI). The exact and asymptotic expressions of outage probabilities for multi-hop decode-and-forward (MH-DF) protocol and selected decode-and-forward (SDF) protocol are derived in closed-form over Nakagami-m fading channels. Our results show that the achievable diversity of MH-DF protocol is zero, while the achievable diversity of SDF protocol depends on the shape factors of fading channels and the power scaling scheme of the relay. Moreover, we show that the SDF protocol achieves the better outage performance and is robust to the residual self-interference when compared with MH-DF protocol.
