利用模糊综合评判进行雷达目标参数估计算法的性能评估

Performance Evaluation for Parameter Estimation with the Application of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation

  • 摘要: 雷达目标参数估计是雷达系统的主要任务,由于雷达工作条件的复杂性、待探测目标的机动性等,不同的雷达目标参数估计方法表现出较大的性能差异。然而,目前尚没有较好的方法评估雷达目标参数估计算法在不同场景下的性能。本文立足于当前雷达技术发展中对参数估计算法性能评估的需求,利用模糊数学知识,建立了针对雷达目标参数估计算法性能的评估指标;基于模糊综合评判理论构建了评估模型;利用仿真数据对两种雷达目标参数估计方法—傅里叶变换法、自相关法—进行了性能评估实验;结果显示傅里叶变换法在信噪比较低时仍旧有较好的估计效果;评估实验获得了有一定实用价值的评估结论,表明了所提出性能评估方法的有效性。

     

    Abstract: Parameter estimating is the fundamental mission of a radar. However, due to the complicated scenario and the maneuvering ability of the target, different parameter estimation methods will maintain various performances. Unfortunately, there is no practical performance evaluation method to check this performance variation. In view of the requirement of modern radar technology, evaluation indexes are established based on fuzzy theory in this paper. Then, an evaluation model based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is deduced. Finally, with the simulated data, evaluation experiment is performed. There are two kinds of parameter estimation methods being evaluated: Fourier transform algorithm and correlation method. These two methods are all used to estimate the features of the radar cross section (RCS). According to the simulation result, Fourier transform algorithm maintains better performance even under low signal to noise ratio (SNR). This conclusion is helpful in the related work. The simulation result shows that the performance evaluation method in this paper is practical. This work is beneficial not only to the performance evaluation of a parameter estimation method, it is also helpful for the perfection of radar target recognition technology.
