Abstract:
Precession is the ballistic target’s most common micro-motion type, while the differences of precession characteristics provide a new approach to identify the real warhead and decoys. According to the characteristics of precession ballistic targets, the radial distance mathematic model is derived, and then, a novel method to extract the precession characteristics based on range-profile is proposed after analyzing the variation regularity of range profile peaks. The linear sum signal of scatters’ radial distance is estimated from time-profile signal, and precession parameters can be extracted by the sum signal’s spectral characteristics. Simulation results show that this method has the advantages of good anti noise performance and high estimating precision.
