Abstract:
GPS L5 signal together with Compass B2a signal are essential components of future GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). However, the existing aeronautical radio equipments make great interference on the frequency bands of L5 and B2a signals. Among the interference sources, the pulse pair with high power from DME (Distance Measurement Equipment) is the most serious one. The most frequently used interference suppression method is pulse blanking in time domain. However, this method will lose information while suppressing pulse interference, and thus induce gapped data. In this paper, we propose a new method to restore gapped data. Firstly suppress the interference using hybrid filtering method, and then we can get some of the information in the gaps. Using the information as initial values of an iteration process, we can get a more accurate result compared with the original data with no DME interference, because we have used the useful information in the gaps. The results of numerical experiments have shown that the proposed method possess better performance than traditional GAPES (Gapped-data Amplitude and Phase Estimation) method.
