基于海洋回波的雷达阵列通道校准新方法

A New Method of Optimization Algorithms for Calibration of Radar  Arrays and Channels Based on Sea Echo

  • 摘要: 高频地波雷达(GWR)使用空间谱估计中的多信号分类(MUSIC)算法估计信号到达角时,阵列天线的互耦和接收通道幅相特性的不一致直接影响到达角的分辨率、估计精度和稳定性。本文提出一种基于海洋回波的雷达阵列通道校准方法,综合考虑阵元互耦和通道失配,无需辅助信号源,从实测海洋回波数据中通过最优化的手段,来获取通道幅相补偿信息和信号到达角估计。利用福建龙海雷达站的实测数据进行计算机模拟实验,证明该方法是可行的。

     

    Abstract: In HF Ground Wave Radar (GWR), the DOA of signal is detected by MUSIC algorithm in spatial spectrum estimation. The mutual coupling of arrays and the inconsistencies of amplitude-phase characteristics of receiving channels has a direct influence on the resolution, precision and stability of DOA. In this paper, a method for calibration of radar arrays and channels based on sea echo is developed. It considers both the mutual coupling of arrays and the inconsistencies of channels and does not need any auxiliary signal source, the compensation of amplitude-phase characteristics of receiving channels and the DOA estimates can be obtained from the received sea echo data by means of global optimization. The method has been proved to be feasible by the computer simulations with the experimental data of the radar station in Longhai, Fujian China.
