Abstract:
The mutual coupling and gainphase errors have great negative impacts on the directionfinding performance of the MUSIC algorithm,therefore a novel calibration algorithm for mutual coupling and gainphase errors based on uniform linear array is presented.Firstly,a quadratic cost function,which utilizes the expression of array covariance matrix,is built.Next,the cost function is minimized by alternating iteration method which uses the Toeplitz structure of the covariance matrix for uniform linear array under ideal condition,thus the mutual coupling,gainphase errors and the array covariance matrix under ideal condition can be estimated.Finally,the signals azimuths can be obtained by the MUSIC algorithm.Simulation results demonstrate the validity of the new algorithm.
