Abstract:
Aim at blind estimation of signal to noise ratio (SNR) of MIMO-OFDM signal in non-cooperative communication background, this paper proposes a novel blind SNR estimation method for MIMO-OFDM signal. This method first calculates the received signal autocorrelation eigenvalue decomposition. Secondly, the number of antennas is estimated by the minimum description length (MDL) criterion. Then, the received signal is decomposed into subspace to estimate the noise power. Finally, JADE (Joint Approximate Diagonalization of Eigenvalue Matrix) is used to estimate the source signal and calculates the signal power so as to estimate the SNR of MIMO-OFDM signal. The experiment results show that the proposed method does not need any prior information. The estimated mean square error is less than 0.1 when . Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method has better estimation performance.
