Abstract:
Since the adaptive beamformers suffer from the output performance degradation when the position of the jamming moves or the jamming is coherent to the desired signal, a robust technique to suppress coherent jamming is proposed. The algorithm first uses the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation method to get the jamming’s DOAs and then to overcome the jamming disturbance, it sets the constraint that 2-norm of the jamming and its adjacent direction’s gain is less than the control factor, next this constraint was used together with the maximization of expected-direction gain and the minimization of the sidelobe gain to formulate an optimization problem of solving the weight vector. Compared with the exist adaptive method, the proposed method doesn’t need the Sampling Matrix Inversion (SMI) step, it can work on small snapshots and effectively control the null width and depth. The new algorithm has the better performance in the coherent jamming and the jamming platform disturbance. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed algorithm.
