Abstract:
Currently, beamforming in 60GHz millimeter-wave communication standard (802.11.ad, 802.15.3c) is based on the codebook, its performance is not optimal and when the number of antennas is large, the search complexity is high. In this paper, based on the above two we proposed a greedy iterative beamforming method. First, find a suitable sector as the initial weight vector, and then successively select the optimal value on each antenna phase shifter from possible values (1, -1, i, -i) as a weight value, and finally, iterate between sending and receiving end until convergence. Simulation results show that the method can obtain a higher spectrum efficiency, while this method has linear complexity, has a large advantage when the number of millimeter-wave array antenna is large..
